QED acquires Air Quality Audits

QED Environmental Services is set to continue its expansion after completing the purchase of Melbourne firm Air Quality Audits.

The purchase sees QED strengthen its position as a leading player in the provision of risk and compliance services in the built environment.

QED Director Michael Taranto said that the acquisition will be a good fit for the company given the AQA team’s established presence in the Melbourne market and their strong focus on excellent customer service.

"Air Quality Audits provides a professional service, and their team brings complimentary skills to QED. We are confident that combining the firms will bring big benefits to the customers of both companies," Mr Taranto said.

AQA Director, Darren Patton, echoed the sentiment stating that he was excited to expand on their service offering. “This is a great fit. With the support of QED we now offer the full suite of services for our customers’ needs in the built environment,” Mr Patton said.

While QED has always provided services in all capital cities across Australia, this acquisition gives them a permanent presence with a full time team well established in the Victorian market.

QED is the first and only organisation in Australia to hold NATA accreditation for Indoor Air Quality inspections and NABERS Indoor Environment Base Building ratings.

QED has operated for over 25 years in the built environment, covering the office, retail, industrial, education, hotel and healthcare sectors.
