As NABERS celebrates its 20th anniversary it is also celebrating another milestone, as the number of NABERS Indoor Environment certifications reached a record 65 buildings in FY2018.
This represents a 32% increase from the previous year and demonstrates the interest building owners are showing in providing better services for occupants.
This is evidence of the growing interest in health and wellbeing, with more people willing to invest in measuring, communicating and improving the services buildings provide to occupants. Ratings such as NABERS IE are the start of a conversation among stakeholders about sustainability and wellness as we see more asset owners prioritising tenant engagement.
The NABERS Annual Report included an interactive presentation of metrics – we reproduce below statistics for the Office- Indoor Environment segment (click the buttons to see results for different states etc).
